In my post Hiking in Myanmar: mountains, villages and avocados I wrote about hiking from Kalaw to Inle Lake in Shan State Myanmar. The highlights included discovering that I’m terrifying to buffalo and small children, being pinched by old women intrigued by my fair skin, and being compared for marriage suitability to my friend Kate.
My friend Kate and I just hiked from Kalaw to Inle lake, in Shan State Myanmar. I loved every minute of it: the simplicity and kindness of the locals, the beauty of the landscape, the banter with our local guide, Min Min, and, of course, the company of my dear friend Kate.
